This event will be promoted to our Grade 9-12 families via School Messenger, posted to schools’ website calendars and News section of the website. It will also be shared via the Weekly Buzz, social media and as a banner on the board website.
A poster with Zoom details and link to register is attached. Guidance teachers are asked to promote this event through EDSBY. Program Support Teachers are encouraged to promote this event to all students on a Community Living Pathway, as well as students with learning disabilities on a University or College Pathway.
The event will start with a presentation highlighting DCDSB’s Transitions and Pathways Webpage, and the Transition Resource Guide for Students with Disabilities followed by three 30-minute breakout room sessions. These breakout room sessions will be chosen by participants and provide students and their families with the opportunity to connect with specific post-secondary resources, community agencies and institutions.
If participants require accessibility related accommodations for attending this event, please notify Delfina Pinto (delfina.pinto@dcdsb.ca) in advance of the evening, so that arrangements can be made.
